The sacred month of Ramadan will begin
on Saturday in Morocco, the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs
announced on Thursday.
The month of Sha’ban (Morocco) will be
held on the 30th day. The 1st of the holy month of Ramadan 1433 AH
corresponds to Saturday, July 21, 2012.
Oman, Syria as, Iraq’s, as well as Iran will start fasting on Saturday, according to AFP.
Ramadan will begin on Friday in most
Arab countries. Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia,
Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen, as well as Lebanon’s Sunni
Muslims, were among those to announce a Friday start.
