Morocco will continue defending at the diplomatic level the serious and credible character of its proposal regarding the Sahara issue, Communication Minister and Government Spokesperson Mustapha El Khalfi said on Thursday in Rabat.
“Morocco will continue endeavouring at the diplomatic level to defend the serious and credible character of its proposal regarding the Sahara issue, pending the official position of the UN on the negotiation process,” El Khalfi told the press following the weekly Government Council.
El Khalfi noted that Moroccan diplomacy spares no effort to work together with allies and parties to resolve the conflict.
Morocco stresses on the need to find a political, win-win solution to the Sahara issue within the framework of the UN as well as on the need for the UN Secretary General’s Personal Envoy to show neutrality and impartiality.
